The Research

The research occurred in two distinct phases, each producing completely independent sets of data. The first set is constituted entirely of digital content generated by myself as I responded to class readings and assignments for my doctoral studies in Art and Visual Culture Education. The second set is data recollected after a series of workshops that I facilitated as part of a summer art camp where learners from 6 to 13 years of age engaged workshops on illustration, mixed media, sculpture, theater, self-reflection and, of course, Internet Memes.
